Bylaw Amendment Proprosal

To all WSAFM members;
 
Consistent with Article X of the by-laws of the Association, the Board of Directors announces these proposed amendments to the WSAFM By-Laws.  The attached document outlines the proposed changes, the reasons for the changes, and the Board’s recommendation to the membership.
 
These amendments will be introduced to the Association Membership for consideration during the annual business meeting during the Fire Prevention Institute beginning October 23rd, 2017 at Campbell’s Resort in Lake Chelan, Washington.  Association members wishing to speak or ask questions will be provided that opportunity before a vote is taken.  A two-thirds majority vote is required of those present to approve a by-law amendment.

Washington State Fire Prevention Institute - Call For Proposals 2019

The Washington State Association of Fire Marshals is seeking proposals for presentations at the 2019 Fire Prevention Institute (FPI), being held October 21-25, 2019, at Campbell's Resort at Lake Chelan (Chelan, WA).

Presentations may be submitted from national, local, state, and regional fire prevention officials, researchers, or other prevention advocates.  Prevention projects or programs must have demonstrated some level of effectiveness at meeting targeted objectives.
