This workshop is offered free of charge in order to offer learning and training opportunities that will benefit first responders, hazardous materials workers, and emergency management community members.

The Washington State Emergency Response Commission (SERC) is pleased to announce registration is open for the Energy and Lithium-Ion Battery Symposium. This workshop is provided through a collaborative effort of the SERC and other state agencies.

The focus of the Energy and Lithium-Ion Battery Symposium will be on the fundamentals of Electric Vehicles (EV) and Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and will provide attendees the opportunity to learn and engage with members of the hazardous materials and emergency management communities. Attendees will receive a broad base of information on EV and ESS through hands-on opportunities with EV incidents, reviews of case studies, futures in energy, and first and second responder safety.

We welcome any interested parties to attend all or part of the Symposium. Along with learning opportunities, we are looking to connect people from all aspects of the life cycle of Energy.
