Class Description:
Fire Alarm Plan Review and Integration with a Fire Sprinkler System- This one-day course will provide attendees with the requirements from the International Fire Code and NFPA 72 related to fire alarm system installations. Criteria to be discussed include: what criteria should be on fire alarm drawings; battery and voltage drop calculations; installation criteria for initiating devices and notification appliances; emergency voice alarm systems; and compliant vs noncompliant methods for transmitting the fire alarm signal from the protected premises to the supervising station. Basic criteria for integrating fire alarm systems with automatic sprinkler systems will also be addressed.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a copy of NFPA 72 to class.
